Nii Kote Nikoi, CFA 

Senior Advisor 

Nii Kote is a Senior Portfolio Advisor at Sentinel Asset Management Limited(“SAML”). Prior to working at SAML, he had a brief stint at Frontline Capital Advisors where he provided advice on fundraising, product development and identifying global clients.

Before relocating to Ghana, Nii Kote worked at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management as a Vice President. He provided estate planning solutions to high-net-worth clients and developed Investment Policy Statements for institutional clients with asset allocation across bonds, stocks, cash and alternative asset classes. He was also involved in manager selection. As a Vice President at Merrill Lynch, he grew assets/liabilities under management to over $120m and constructed portfolios that overperformed policy benchmarks by 1000 basis points over a 3-year rolling period.

Prior to Merrill Lynch, he worked as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager of New Africa Advisors, a subsidiary of Sloan Financial Group. Here, he adeptly navigated the complexities of pan-African equity portfolios, navigating US institutional investors through over 13 illiquid African capital markets.

Nii Kote’s career commenced at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where for over a decade, he developed and maintained econometric models of the global economy, lending invaluable insights and research assistance to numerous seminal papers within the Research Department. Nii Kote earned a BA in Mathematics from Amherst College and an MBA from Georgetown University. He is also a CFA charterholder and a founding member of the CFA Society of Ghana
